Hi! My name is Benjamin. Welcome to my web site. Chances are, if you are visiting me here, you have a small child or family member with Down Syndrome, or perhaps you were told that you are expecting a baby with Down Syndrome. I'm here, along with my mom, to tell you all about my wonderful life--with Down Syndrome.

My mom did not know I was going to be born with an extra 21st chromosome. Due to religious beliefs and personal convictions, she chose not to have any prenatal testing done. My mom always said if there was a problem, she didn't want to spend nine months worrying about it. My mom feels that skipping the tests was one of the best choices she ever made. Then, she thought of me as a baby, and not a 'Down Syndrome baby'.

Some people, however, like to know in advance so they can get prepared. If that's you and your child hasn't even arrived yet, you are doing the right thing--searching for current information and getting yourself educated. For those of us who have been there, we know that you have a lot of mixed emotions going through your mind right now. We hope that your visit to our web site will calm some of your fears, doubts, and apprehension.
